Royce Jay Harmon, age 64, passed away on Thursday December 22, 2016, after a brief battle with cancer. Royce was born on May 4, 1952 to Francis and Betty Harmon. The youngest of four brothers, he was raised in Watford City and graduated from Watford City High School in 1971. After high school he worked in the oil fields and went to Williston diesel mechanics school. He later started a family by adopting a little girl, Rhonda Jo, and welcomed his son, Cheyene, 10 months later. Royce enjoyed leather working, motorcycles and mechanics. His children often remember him as an avid hunter, who loved tanning the deer hides he brought home. He also treasured his John Wayne westerns, a passion which he passed on to his son!

Royce was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Ronald “Chuck” Harmon, Russell Harmon, and Roger Harmon.

Royce is survived by his two children, Rhonda Harmon, Indianapolis, IN, and Cheyene Harmon, Belfield, ND; sister-in-law, Phyllis Harmon, Minot, ND; and his two granddaughters, Rylan Marie and Emery Rose. His family welcomes you to his burial at Schafer Cemetery on Wednesday January 4, 2017, at 11:00 a.m.
