Aiden James Hinkle, 2 year old son of Jared and Amanda Hinkle of Williston, died Monday evening, May 9, 2016 of complications from a liver transplant at the Children’s Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. Fulkerson Stevenson of Williston is assisting the family.
Aiden James Hinkle was born January 1, 2014 in Billings, MT ten minutes after his twin sister Emily. From the moment he was born we knew he would make an impression on everyone who met him. Aiden entered the world feet first ready to run and take on any obstacle that he would face. Aiden’s journey started out like a roller coaster ride, but even through the trying times he was the most patient, loving, and gentle little boy. He brought joy to all those around him. With his personality and quirky smile we knew he was always up to something.
During his short lived life he loved so many things. He loved his trucks, stuffed animals, books, dancing to music and especially his phone, which he would talk and babble on for what seemed like hours. He really enjoyed staring out the window to make sure his birds and bunnies were still there to greet him. He loved to play games, his favorite was peek a boo with us or sister. Most of all he loved making us smile and laugh, which will be missed greatly. He also loved giving hugs. The hugs he gave were not just a hug; it was like he was trying to comfort us.
The bond he developed with his sister Emily was something that helped him through his life. They both loved each other even when they didn’t see eye to eye. During his battle with liver disease Emily pushed him to excel at every milestone. She would take her time to show him what he could accomplish if he just tried a little harder. When he started crawling she would crawl alongside him to help push him further than he knew he could. Emily and Aiden formed a bond that will never be broken even when his time on earth was short.
Aiden is going to be deeply missed by his parents, Jared and Amanda Hinkle twin sister Emily, grandparents, Ron Hinkle & Jill Campbell, Barry Johnson, Kim Cox and special grandparents Sandra and Eldean Flynn, great grandparents, Mary Ellen Holt, Robert and Connie Johnson, Ann Carscallen, Beth and George Daylis and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and everyone whose life he has touched.
Aiden was preceded in death by his great grandfathers, Ben Holt and George Carscallen, and his grandfather, James Cox.
