It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Walter Robert Langved
November 28, 1933 - July 9, 2020

Residence: Tioga, North Dakota

Walter Robert Langved was born on November 28, 1933 in Pleasant Valley Township, Williams County in North Dakota to Tom and Agnes (Moe) Langved. He served honorably in the United States Army from 1957 to 1958. He then returned home to work on the family ranch where he spent most of his time.

After moving on from ranching, Bob moved throughout the Southwest and West Coast. He had various jobs, such as, working in the orchards in Oregon, and at a hotel in Laughlin, Nevada. Bob always had a great attitude and outlook to enjoy wherever he was and whatever he was doing.

He moved back to Tioga in the mid 90s, and settled right in with old friends and new acquaintances. He loved having a cup of coffee and visiting with friends and “strangers” (No one was ever a stranger with Bob for long.) He especially enjoyed time spent with his brother Art.

Bob enjoyed watching the local Tioga ‘Pirates’ High School Basketball games and rooting for his home team. He also played basketball, and from what we have been told, he was very good at the game himself. To this day, you could walk into his home and generally find him watching sports on tv, most often basketball and football.

Bob was forever the Prankster! You had to get up mighty early to even try to stay ahead of him. He loved to tease, flirt, and tell jokes. He thoroughly enjoyed reading westerns and listening to old country music. He really loved good food and going out to eat with friends and family.

In recent years, he was so thankful and proud to spend time with his children. He talked of them often and especially enjoyed taking cruises and other trips with them.

He is survived by his children, Sandra Langved; Robert Huwe, Kirk Kuwe and Lynn Huwe; six grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Art Langved, and his sister-in-law, Grace Langved, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Gloria Osborn, Thomas Langved and Roy Langved; and one great grandchild.

Bob's father, Tom, emmigrated from Innvik, Norway, 1904 only 17 years old. Bob was my mothers cousin. I visited Tioga in 1974 and met the Lanved family, but Bob was not there at that time, so sadly I never met him. Rest in peace.
