Thoughts and prayers to the entire family. When Gordon was in Fairview, he took the time to help me mount my trophy antelope. Still have it and was a great experience.

To Mr Gumke's loved ones, One day, I got a call from him asking if I would substitute teach at the West Fairview grade school.. He was a great person to work for and Darlene babysat my son while I was at school. Thank you to Mr. Gumke, I enjoyed substituting and it gave me confidence that I was capable.. With prayers, blessings and memories. He was the best.

Mr. Gumke, you were nothing but nice & sweet to us girls (all 7 of us). Always greeting us students at the door of the building you standing there outside of your office door, never forgetting saying Hello to me & asking if there was anything you could do to help me with my sisters. Which I was so grateful knowing someone was looking out for me. Thank you. As I moved to Sidney starting high school there, I missed your smile asking me how was your summer, but yet you were still I'm Fairview, my school days of Fairview were behind me. You were always remembered from that point on, never forgetting that you could still be there asking me how my day or my summer was. Rest in Peace sir, I know you'll be standing there with a smile & a holdsome saying "how's your day?"
