Families of Phylis, We go back a long way with Phylis and Dallas. Enjoyed many long conversations with Phylis. She was a strong lady with many abilities. Her dedication to creating the county funeral book is a testament to her perseverance and attention to detail. May she rest in peace. Our sympathies to all her families. Dennis and Vonnie

My deepest sympathy. I remember her well when we worked on the McKenzie county cemetery index. We had the best visits sitting in the newspaper basement to read the old obits...Rest in Peace.

My condolences to Phyllis' family. I always enjoyed our visits at the Wheat Show and at the bank. She always entered the breadbaking contest and taught her grandchildren the art of bread baking as well.

When the Bullflat school reopened in 1948 after being closed for several years, I was in the eighth grade. It was my good fortune to have Phylis Hystad as the interesting, fun, and excellent teacher. Blessed be her memory.
