Some losses are harder to take… this is one for me. I had the pleasure of playing softball alongside Gene for the better part of 4 decades. Gene’s competitiveness was never questioned. He enjoyed winning with humility and losses (there were few) with quiet resolve….resolve to win next time. Off the field, his personality threw in great amounts of friendship, honesty, humor, and a great amount of love for his family. I will miss my friend, however, the memories are many, and I can recall them at a moments notice, and put everything into slow motion. Geno, you were the best of us!

Gene was a great man. He was always willing to help me and answer my questions about my sports card collection and he would direct me in the right direction selling or collecting them. He also was an amazing athlete and tremendous softball player. Dorothy and family your all in our thoughts and prayers
