Lila’s Family Lila was an exceptional neighbor and woman. Her steadfast faith helped me when my husband passed away. She was there for me in all her glory. Blessed be the memory of this fine lady.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know the sadness that brings. Lila’s gorgeous singing voice will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to hear her. My family shared so much of life with Lila.

I'm heartbroken!  She is one of my best friends! I loved staying with her on the farm! Our many good times and talks. We took our morning walks, fed the kitties, watched & talked to the horses, reminisced on family times, read, studied the Bible together, and we prayed. She loved going to the Tastee Freeze for a small hamburger.

Her mind was always so sharp in remembering Tioga's & the family's history.

I wish I could be there one more time! Such wonderful memories!

Lila made the best pies ever!  When I was staying with her one time, Ronnie (Gabby)  & Ilene (Lyle's wife) came to the farm for what Lila & I called "HighTea." We took out Lila's best China & we dressed up in our "church" clothes. They came on more than one occasion. Can't you hear Uncle Ronnie lifting his pinky finger saying, "This is how you need to be hoity-toity, and we laughed!

Well, back to Lila's pies. It was the crusts that made them so delicious! She used  lard! Her comment was. "Oh yes, only lard makes good crusts!"
Not being a pork lover, it was hard for me at first.

Honored to have known Lila - the “mother of another” but always the friendliest & fun lady! Such a blessing with her elegant wit & charm, especially & still at her 95th birthday celebration in Tucson!
Save a spot for me up in Heaven, Lila!

Lila was such a beautiful lady, many memories that I have of her friendship with my mom. They loved their music and I loved listening to them practice. I also remember her cooking spaghetti sauce which was delicious! Her family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

Such beautiful memories of Lila in her obituary! What a pleasure to know her even a little bit here in Tucson. She will certainly be missed. But, she's probably singing beautiful melodies to the Lord in Heaven!

I didn't know Lila all that well when growing up as I was self absorbed and didn't realize what an amazing woman she was. My school mates Cathy, Sheila, and Dallas never shared her story because I didn't ask. Truly a big loss to the community.

We have enjoyed Lilia’s visits to Terri & Pat’s home since about 1997. I worked with Terri in Alaska and sat with our mothers in Idaho at their home as the two ND gals visited about their families. We were pleased to be in Tucson the last few years and spend time visiting with this proud Ranch woman. Loved her adventure story’s of her horse back riding as a young woman and the hours talking about her family and Norwegian heritage. What a blessing to know she is resting in Heaven.

My sympathy in the loss of your Mom. I was unable to attend her service but watched online. She had a positive impact on many lives through the years with her involvement at Zion and in the community. Small in stature but large in life. Blessed be her memory.

Growing up in Zion, of course I remember Lila and the Trio, beautiful music. To classmate Sheila and the rest of the family, celebrate the memories and look forward to your reunion.
