Rest in Peace, Roy. I have many fond memories of Roy and Gloria when the children were young and Turner was still here. VFW activities included all the family then, and they were well attended, including picnics, dinners. Roy was a friend and a true gentleman.

This is kind of an entertaining memory to share. I was with one of my siblings, I think it was Beaver and we were driving down the road near West side school. We came to a stop sign and were behind a motorcycle with a cowboy as the passenger, complete with his cowboy hat tipped to one side and a cigarette in his hand. Beaver commented on what a sight that was " A smoking cowboy on a motorcycle" I said " well I think that is Roy Kallevig" Beaver didn't believe me so we followed until we could get a good view of who that was and sure enough, Brent was the driver of the motorcycle and Roy was the passenger. Every time I think of Roy that picture pops back into my head. I'm so glad we stopped and had a nice visit with your Dad after Mom's funeral. Garth< Jamie, Brent and Valerie, you and your families are all in my prayers. I won't be able to be at the funeral but hope to be able to attend it virtually.

Uncle Roy will be missed by the many people he impacted during his 94 years. I know the family history because of the stories he shared. He loved company and was always interested in what was going on in our lives. He was a hard worker and a great family man.
I had to smile.when you mentioned the word copecetic - I thought my mom was the only one with that word in her vocabulary. She used it often.
Uncle Roy.- we loved you and will miss you. Rest in.peace.

I'm so sorry to hear of uncle Roy's passing. I remember when we lived down the alley and if we wanted to know where mom and dad were the first place we went was there. They were always so kind. Praying for the family.
