I had the privilege to work with Snowball over 45 years ago at Sidney Livestock Auction working cows on weekends and at night.
Highly dependent man with great work ethic and didn't say much but was carrying for working cows in a quiet manner....remember the cold nights but never complained.
Bless the memories. Great guy to work with.

R.I.P. Snowball. I will never forget you being out on the farm. Us on the horses, and you running faster than them. You were a great friend to our dad, Varlock Syth. So glad Jane and I got to visit you again. See you in Heaven some day

A true legend of our community! I will never forget the day I was privileged to meet Snowball. My Father In Law, Herb Fuhrmann always talked about Snowball and how he was such a hard working and honest guy! Snowball was loved by everyone. The Sidney Livestock Market was never the same when Snowball Retiered! A book needs to be written!!!

I went to high school in Sidney and remember seeing Snoball working the rodeo at the fair grounds every year. Many years later he and my Dad was one room apart at the nursing home. Snoball injured his neck while working at the sale barn. He healed up & went home, Dad didn’t. RIP cowboy!

My father (Edward “Solly” Danks) used to tell me stories of him chasing horses for the Fettigs down by Killdeer. When the movie Man from Snowy River came out, my dad laughed and said Snowball chased horses better than that guy.
