I was very saddened to hear of Owen’s passing. Owen was such a good and decent man. He was an amazing cousin and friend with a huge heart! Our exploits as fun loving youngsters with our friends and teammates were the best ever!

May God grant Linda, Melinda and Jonathon and their families comfort, healing and peace in the days ahead.

Owen, you will be missed by so many, but the positive impacts of your life well lived will stay with us forever.

Rest in eternal peace, my friend!

Owen (Coach) will always have a special spot in my heart. From a farmer to a farmer, he understood the farming communities while coaching, whether in Grenora, or Powers Lake. I got a chance during the Grenora Centennial (2016) to chat with him, and reminisce about the past. What a special time that was. He commanded respect form his players while coaching, and got it. It was his firm, but fair, coaching style that got the best out of all his players. He will be forever missed and remembered.
