What a friend I had in Adeline this last 49 years. She was one of the Pella ladies who mentored me through my years as a young wife and mother. She will always hold a special place in my heart. Linda

Dear Cousins, My heartfelt sympathies to you. I have enjoyed the warm loving hospitality at your parents home many times. Have heard about rook parties, scrabble games, beet harvests, travels, and many many more family activities. We share a great loving Danish heritage filled with God’s love. Dorthy

Dige Family—Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you during this grief journey.

Your dear Mom (and Dad) were always so kind to me—when I first met them when Pat and I were roommates at NDSCS and in all the years since that time.

The tears will come when you least expect them—perhaps when you are polishing the silver (or windows), preparing one of her favorite meals, setting the perfect table or remembering all of the memories you have of growing up in Sidney.

She would probably say her greatest accomplishment (including her love of Jesus) was her marriage to Arnold, each of her children (and their spouses) and her grandchildren. You put the sparkle in her eyes.

We were blessed to have our Moms live to such an advanced age. I know you miss her dearly.

To the Dige Family: I am sorry to see that your mother has passed away. It's hard to lose a parent at any time but losing your surviving parent increases the difficulty no matter their age or yours. I'm sure you have masses of wonderful memories of your parents, so speak of them often to keep their memories alive and vivid with lots of family stories to pass onto the grandchildren. My sympathies to all.

Dear Cousins,

It's a remarkable point in time--the last of the dear Hansen girls (whom we knew as our mothers and aunts) has gone Home.

Your dear Mother was my favorite aunt and your dear Dad my favorite uncle! Yes. In my young years, my favorite place to "be left" while my parents (Edith and Immanuel) were on some long trip in which I was not included as 7 or 8 year old, was to be left with Arnold and Adleline. So many blessings. So many memories. Those of us still on our pilgrim road anticipate seeing all of them again and forever. Sharon Larsen Torgerson

Our family farmed in Dane Valley near Culbertson. We attended Sunday services occasionally with family at Pella when we were going to be at the home of family members for dinner that day. Blessed memories.
