To Guido's family, Kenny's memories and interactions with Guido all involve horses and Girard dances. I first met him when we were first married going out to their house to buy 3 "winter projects"!
Our sincere condolences to you all.

I am so sorry about Uncle Guido's death, but can only imagine the reunion him & Aunt LaVonne had!! Can't you just see the party that is going on up there with my parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents & friends?! You can almost hear the old time music they are playing from down here! Another big Vaira shindig!!

I still remember the 1st time I was at Guido's house
I must of been about 12 years old. My step dad and Guido were buds and that's how I got to know Guido's family.
Our deepest condolences to Vicki and Shane and family.
The Vaira families are all very good people, it is a honor for me to know them.

Aunt Doreen, I can definitely imagine the Vaira shindig happening in heaven! I've been listening to the Vaira Band on the tape they recorded in 2000. I'm able to pick out uncle Guido playing the trumpet. Oh how I loved playing in the Vaira band with everyone-such great memories. I realize now what a quiet man Guido was-but always had that big gigantic smile that you can't forget. I'll always remember going to Guido and Lavonne's when we were up working at Redwater and Lavonne always had cookies for us when we stopped by. I'll never forget the ice skating party they had right there by the house either-what a fun time! Shane, Vicki and family, I know it's hard to say goodbye. I'm sure you have great memories to carry with you too and I hope you feel his presence each time. Love to you all

And so an era ends. Redwater Ranchers , Viara Band. Watched them and other bands growing up not knowing what I was seeing.and when they were gone there would be no more. Death was explained to me when I was very very young. I was told that the clouds open and you hear trumpets playing. If that is so , Guido is home.

I was so sorry to learn that Guido had passed away. Before the pandemic prevented it I arranged the Sunday evening church services at EMVH and was always pleased to when Guido would attend. He had a smile that lit up not just a room but the hearts of those in it. May God comfort his family.

I’m so sorry to hear about Uncle Guido’s passing. He was a gentle soul with a smile that would light up a room. I always sat in awe when he played his trumpet in the Vaira band as it came so natural to him and so effortless. Watching him made me pick it up in grade school and played the trumpet through out high school hoping to be just half as good as he was. The memories you have of him will last a lifetime. What a long fulfilled life he had. There is definitely a waltz and a polka going on in heaven right now and I can be certain there’s a bottle of wine or two to celebrate. Hugs to you all during this time.

Although I have not seen Quido in a very long time, I have the same good memories many have of him playing with the famous Vaira Band! He will be missed.
