God Bless and Keep Mr. Peterson...his faith was so evident to me from childhood forward, he attended EVERY Sunday at Froid Congregational Church -- I found it amazing to see him both in church and at school -- a role model for the ages. He was my XC coach, track coach, guidance counselor, hired me to babysit Terrille, coming out to tease us while ice skating between the school and his house, etc. Terry is in the edges of so many of my memories -- the children of Froid were blessed to have him as part of our lives. God Bless and Keep him, but also peace and love be with Terrille & Camille.

So very, very sorry. Mr. Peterson was one heck of a man, teacher, all round person. He was there for older/younger siblings, myself and my children, and he always had a smile and good word for us all, (I still owe you 1500 words for shorthand!!). May your nest journey be as good as you.

Terry was a teacher both Roxie and I had in high school (in the 1970's) at Froid. He stands out in our minds as being one of those skilled teachers that had a good rapport with his students. He coached many athletes from Froid and had many successful teams. Whether it was in school or in a sporting event he always demanded the best out of his students. Our sympathies go out to Camille and Terrille and their family.

Terry's first teaching and coaching position was in Richey Mt when I was a freshman in the fall of 1965. He left after my junior year and went on to Froid and a atellar career in coaching and teaching. It was always fun to occasionally run into Terry and Camille through the years. Then in retirement Terry and Camille purchased a home in Leisure World in Mesa AZ at about the same time as Cathy and I did so we had many cherished visits the last few years.

Our heart goes out to you, Camille and Terrille and grandkids. Take care and cherish the memories of a life well lived.

Terry is an icon at Froid. He touched a lot of lives over the years. He is the reason I got to spend 13 years in Froid. He was instrumental in my hiring. We spent hours after school working and you could hear his voice belting out Gaithersburg songs. I loved to hear him sing. He greeted me every morning with “Good morning Miss Owinski”. His nickname for me. Will miss him terribly. All my love and sympathies to Camille, Terrille, and his two grandchildren that he adored as well as his family

Mr. Peterson I think the first thing everyone thinks is “Coach”. I know this will be hard to believe but not all teachers had the respect of all the students in the 70’s and 80, Mr. Peterson did. When he talked you listened and you wanted to please and make him proud. He was a coach, teacher but a real mentor to me as I coached in Froid but mostly Culbertson. Had my best visit with him Glasgow Gym February 2009 coach’s room. He told me that he had watching and I was doing a good job. That meant a lot to me. Rest In Peace Coach. Camille and Terrille rest assured he’s watching over you and he will be still visiting with you.

So sorry to hear of your loss of Terry. I was one of his "works in progress". During my Senior year (and his first at Froid), he mentioned that we were going to have a discussion about my lack of motivation after our Thanksgiving Tournament. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I blew out my knee that weekend so we never did have that conversation. He was a true gentleman and a class act.

Camille, Terrille and family, there is not many people who have or take the opportunity to influence, guide, befriend or share life with so many others and to have done it so well as Terry! I know Terry’s love for Christ was the foundation for how he lived his life and such an example to teach others how to live life..We’re blessed to have known him. There’s a quote from Ravi Zacharis that I love, and appropriate now, “For Christians, death is never the end of a relationship, only an interruption followed by glorious reunion.”
May God give you comfort in this separation as you look forward to that reunion.

I met Terry as a crop adjuster. He was a great guy! There was a golf outing offered at one of the update meetings, and my friend Nancy and I decided to have some fun and give it a try. Since we were first timers, no one wanted to play with us. Terry was kind enough to let us tag along. I was awful, balls flying all over the place, mostly in the trees. Nancy was a born pro, she beat everyone in the group. Terry was the best sport through it all. We had a great time. My condolences to his family. I know he will be greatly missed!
