Playing in Front Yard with brother Dale
So sorry to hear of the loss of Robert. I had many fond memories from the times when we were in Newtown, Williston and our last visit when we were in Arnegard for the 4th of July. He was driving the old tractor and the gang was playing songs in the front yard.

We extend our sincere Sympathy to the family of Bob. He truly was a talented musician. Loved that fiddling! We always enjoyed him when he and Ida visited Beverly and Dwight’s.

One of my favorite memories of Bob happened soon after he married my grandmother, Ida. I was around the age of 7 when we were all gathered together for Christmas. Bob offered to show us grandkids how to operate his backhoe. We got all bundled up in our winter gear and excitedly headed outside. The thing that I remember most was how patient and kind Bob was while teaching me how to operate the backhoe. Even when I made a mistake, he never got upset. He was calm and collected and helped me whenever I needed assistance. I remember looking at him and he had the biggest smile on his face! I honestly don’t know who was having more fun...me or him!

I never once saw Bob get angry or say a bad word about anyone. That is a trait that is not seen nearly enough in the world today and it is something I will definitely miss about him. I will miss his laugh. He had an infectious laugh and you couldn’t help but laugh with him when you heard it. I will miss his music. I loved to listen to him while he played his fiddle. He was very passionate about his music and it definitely showed. I’ll bet the angels in heaven are dancing to the beautiful music I’m sure he’s playing as we speak.

He loved our family and we all loved him. We will always love him. I’m so sad that he’s gone but I’m so thankful that he is at peace and no longer in pain. Rest easy, Bob. Keep the music playing until we meet again.
