I've known Arnie Howard since I've been a little boy. Always a cheerful smile and pleasant to have a conversation with. He will certainly be missed.

When I was the McKenzie Co. Superintendent of Schools (from 1993 to 2002), I had the pleasure of working with Arnold and Leona at the annual bus drivers' workshops. He was quite a character and kept me on my toes! I had to work and plan hard to stay ahead of Arnold. What a good guy he was, and Leona was a good one too.

My thoughts are are with all who knew Arnold and Leona, especially my thoughts are with their family. Arnold and Leona treated me as if I was family. Arnold employed me as a bus driver when I needed the job. He was a great boss! I was welcomed to their home on many occasions to play cards and share snacks or a wonderful meal. Those memories and fun times are cherished. Arnold recruited me to play on the Moose dart league. I don't know how great we were throwing darts but we sure enjoyed, socializing, laughing and having a few beers. Arnold was a blast to hang out with! Arnold and Leona will always be part of my life.
