My heart aches for all of you, Life can change so rapidly. I’d like to share this poem by Roxie Smith titled “The Meaning” I will not doubt though there be questions in my heart, though eyes be damp with tears that course from streams within, I will not doubt. There is a certain strength that grace has given in my need, and hope lends inward voice to make my spirit strong.....I still can sing, for more and more Christ holds the mourning heart—There is the clasp of comfort that no human will take in hand, for, in the depths of ache the soul has mind to understand.
I sure hope I can make it to the funeral, if weather is bad I just want you to know my heart is with you...may God enfold you with love and peace. Thank goodness we have faith to help see one through. God bless

Marlene, Roxy, Ryan and families: Diane and I are so deeply saddened by the news of Arvin's illness and passing. We are holding all of you in our prayers, and trust that somehow in God's great love and mercy he will carry you through this time of sorrow and loss. Your family's friendship was so important and meaningful to us when we were there with you. Thank you for those years. May the love of Christ, his grace, and peace be with you all now. Know that you will continue to be in our prayers. God be with you. Paul and Diane

Marlene, I am so sorry to hear about Arvin’s passing. He was a kind, thoughtful man. We taught together in Poplar for several years and I enjoyed our visits whenever we ran into each other in Williston. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
