Dearest Jewell - I will miss you so much - your smiles, your winks, your hugs. In French, when friends part, they don't say "au revior," which means "good bye," instead, they say, "a bientot," which means "see you later." When we shared our last hug at the door of Bethel when you were on your way to Bismarck, I knew it would be "a bientot," and not "au revior." Save a hug for me, Jewell - Love you!

Jewell was such an amazing ,sweet Lady. I'm going to miss our visits and her hugs and her precious sweet smile. She always enjoyed talking about our families and old fun times we had together and most of all she loved talking about all of her family. She was so proud of all of you. Jewell is now happily reunited with Forest in heaven. Prayers are with all of you.

We are in Arizona and just heard of Jewel’s passing. Our condolences to the family. We lived across the street from the Abelmanns for 22 years and have such pleasant memories of Jewel. May the memories you share sustain you during this difficult time.

Was sad to see of my Quilt Sisters passing. Jewel you were a true sweetheart. Loved the smile I always got when ever I saw you. So glad I got to spend the years I did in Quilt Guild with you. But I still have Val and Kari to quilt with. RIP sweet Jewel, my FAITH tells me we will see each other again one day. My thoughts and prayers will be with your family in their great loss. So sorry to read of Jewels passing. It brought back memories of her and I sharing an apartment at the Poekes’ while we each worked at the American State Bank. Good memories. We would see each other occasionally during the years at Walmart! Good memories.

Connie, Val and Family - You know I just loved your mom! We go way back to her days at Mercy. Those were the days filled with fun and laughter. I have been fortunate to spend the last three years re-connecting with Jewel, Connie and Val. Jewel was just that - a precious precious lady. I will miss her greatly. Your all in my prayers.
