Mrs. Westin was my favorite teacher! I spent second grade with her... She was a very sweet and kind lady. I will continue to try be inspirational with my own second graders. Prayers to the family.

Kaye or Mrs. Westin as I called her was one of my favorite teachers. She was so kind and caring and made school enjoyable. She was a great inspiration to us all. My sympathy to the Westin family during this sad time.

My parents - Arvin and Bev Hagen - were lifetime friends of both Kaye and Gerald. Gerald and Arvin worked as partsmen at Grenora Implement at the same time. They both had careers with John Deere...one in Grenora and the other outside it. We moved around a lot. One story my mom liked to tell was about her and Kaye being pregnant at the same time. If they both had girls, they each wanted to use the name "Vicky." I was born second.
