Sorry for your loss. I am praying for you guys. Heaven has gained a wonderful soul. I enjoyed getting to know Butch from all of the times Pam talked about him. His deserts he sent to our Friday meetings and holiday parties were so delicuous. Praying for God to give you comfort and peace during this time. Much love.

Pam and Family, I was so sorry to read this morning of Butch's passing. I took a great deal away from the few years I worked with Butch back in the WFW days turning out the lights on the 70s/80s Williston Basin oil boom. A pair of Miniature Dachshunds usually filled out the 4 person crew. Ubu and Kink? They were always into something.

Great surveyor, great mentor and one of the nicest people I ever met.

Rest in Peace, Alvin Ray.

I started working with Butch at Webster Foston and Weston in 1979. What a sweet sweet man, and teacher to the profession. I always loved working with him! Unfortunately when I got married in 1980 the company would no longer allow us to work together, because I was married and he wasn't .I went in and told the boss my husband was OK with it but not allowed so the guy they put me with was a jerk. I've always repectected and thought the world of Butch. May He Rest In Peace! He was a great surveyor!

My deepest sympathies to Butch's family. Over the past 15 years of my surveying career in the Williston area, I've been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to have met Butch, I did not know him well, but every now and again I'd have the chance to visit with him, usually at the State's Annual Seminar or Convention. I and every other surveyor that work in western North Dakota, are fortunate enough to have had such a great fellow surveyor come before us, to have left his mark in this area forever for the rest of us to follow. His work will continue to be found and used for many more generations of surveyors to come, he was a great surveyor, and may he Rest In Peace.
