Vera's Family, I still remember when I first started in the Auditor's office and Vera would come in and help me with so many things associated with the Townships as I was just a newbie. Vera became sort of my mentor on so many Township/Association items. I could always count on her when election time came around every other year to get me workers for HER precinct.
I will miss her very much. Rest now VERA!

Bergstrom Family,

Vera was my kindergarten teacher and Great Aunt. My early memories of her are making a beautiful Easter basket and her huge garden. Vera was an extremely hard worker. She always had a cheerful smile and caring attitude.

Deepest Sympathy,
Stacy (Redmond) Bendl

To the family of Mrs. Bergstrom, we offer our deepest sympathy. We remember Mrs Bergstrom on the playground for recess duty. She always seemed so strict in school but was the nicest lady ever! Every summer we would go to her greenhouse. She always gave us a plant to take home to grow (we never did very well with them either!). Rest in peace Mrs.Bergstrom. You will be missed by many, Patrick,Ryan and Andrew Joyce

Vera was my aide for 22 years of teaching kindergarten in Tioga. She was indispensable! She could take over my classroom if I was absent and I never had to worry that my students learning would be disrupted. She gave so much to her community. She was a hard worker and active in many different endeavors. Family was so important to her and she made many of us feel like family. I treasure many special memories of visits, long talks and praying for each other. So thankful that I had a chance to see her last summer and again briefly in November. Her love and talent for gardening was awesome. Blest be her memory

What can I say but a "life lived to its FULLEST." Vera accomplished much, was loved as a teacher, what a cook, what a canner, what a gardener. Oh yes, and boy could she make good pies. I remember the Trinity Lutheran Church days as a kid, I remember bake sales, and all of the children she touched throughout her lifetime. She gave new meaning to the term "Hard Worker." Rest in Peace, Vera. Your work on earth is done, My deepest sympathies to the entire family. May God comfort you in the days ahead.

We are out of town and unable to attend the funeral. Vera was one of the kindest ladies we have ever known. She did a great job organizing our Frisinger reunions and made it a fun time for everyone. Her chockcherry was the best. With deepest sympathy to the Bergstrom family.

I have so many fond memories of working with Vera at Central Elementary!! We had so many laughs over the years!! She was so great with the staff and students, a hard worker, dependable, just a gem in so many ways! I believe she can be credited with teaching each Central student that went through the lunch line to say please and thank all those years she worked the condiment/salad table... I heard it said, at the high school many years later, that you could tell when all those students had graduated, because the please and thank you's became scarce. She made a positive difference in countless ways in so many lives!
My sympathies to her family!
