Jack & Kay Fulkerson The Fulkerson Funeral Home began in August 1961, when J.E. "Jack" Fulkerson, Jr. and his wife Kay purchased the Fulkerson Funeral Home in Sidney, MT from Jack’s uncle, Clint Fulkerson, which was started in 1954.

In October 1968, Jack and Kay purchased the Cloyd-Gorger Mortuary also in Sidney, MT and in September of 1973, Fulkerson Funeral Home expanded into North Dakota by purchasing the Leiseth Funeral Home in Watford City, the Sletten Funeral Home in Williston, ND in July of 1981 and the Rhode Funeral Home in Tioga, ND in 1996.

Upon Jack’s retirement in August of 2000, Mike McCollum, current corporate president and Dennis Gendreau, current corporate vice-president, purchased the funeral home.

Today the funeral home is operated as a family and employee owned Funeral Corporation. Not losing sight of our small town beginning, everything we do reflects our on going commitment to the communities we serve, assuring affordable, and quality services. Over the years we have always made the effort to provide the most dignified and compassionate service to the families who call upon us. Our commitment to excellence remains the same and is also reflected in our support for the various organizations and activities throughout our region, including church and civic groups, schools and charitable organizations.

Jack’s meticulous planning, ideals and vision continue today through the staff he has mentored over the years.
