To the entire Bruins family:

So sorry to hear about Uncle Lloyd. The thing I remember most about him was his hearty, booming laugh that came loud and often. He also had a stern voice that was equally booming but not heard nearly as often (thank goodness because there would have many more pairs of soiled underwear). We'll miss him very much, and I'm sorry we won't be able to be there for his funeral. Our best to all of you.

Much Love,

Tim, Dair, Joe, and Molly Mathistad

Lloyd will be missed!! I remember how well I was treated by the Bruins/Mathistad's on Lloyd & Borghild's 50th wedding anniversary: I met you all for the very first time... by myself...it meant alot!!!!!!!!!! :) Lloyd's stories will be missed...but now he's in heaven dancing with Borghild!! You all are in my thoughts and prayers!!!!! God bless!!

The Family of Lloyd Bruins;
Our deepest sympathy goes out to you during this difficult time.
Lloyd truly was a special man and touched the hearts of all of us here at Maple View. Thank you for sharing Lloyd with us over the past year and a half. He is already sadly missed and we will all cherish our time we had with him.

My thoughts and prayers are with Uncle Lloyd's family during this time. Though I was seldom near enough to visit, I always enjoyed visiting with him when there was an opportunity. I remember talking with him during the 1995 Bruins reunion in Montana. My mother, Marie, and he had a really nice visit then. They both had fond memories of their growing up years and some times after.

Our deepest sympathy goes to all of the Lloyd Bruins family. I met Lloyd in 1947 when my father, Gunster, took us on our first trip to meet his cousins in North Dakota and when Lloyd brought his family to Alberta a few years later. Dad and Lloyd formed a fond relationship over the years. Anne and I remember the two of them riding all around the yard in Lloyd’s brand new Versatile four wheel drive tractor in 1967. My folks so enjoyed attending Lloyd and Borghild’s 50th wedding anniversary. Anne and I remember Lloyd’s story telling and how he proudly showed us his gold putter and his bow hunting trophy mule deer. I last saw him at Borghild’s funeral and we regret that we are unable to attend his. We, too, will miss him. Our prayers are with you all today.

How sorry I was to learn of Lloyd's passing. Through the years I heard many stories from Dad about Lloyd (always funny and with respect for him). They had a true friendship on earth, and I am sure it is continuing in heaven.

My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

I was sad to hear of Uncle Loyd's passing. He was a great man. He always seemed to be laughing and helping others around him have a good time. He and Aunt Borghild are probably sharing a good laugh right now.

I pray that God will comfort all those who are mourning the loss of their dearly loved.
