Have so many happy memories of time shared and spent with "Aunty Max". My love to Jackie and Jimmy and family.

5/22/2013 Kurt Roberts (Fort Wayne, Indiana)

What a Lady! I will never forget the summer trips to Williston and Montana and eating all the home made donuts. Have not found a donut since that can hold a candle to hers. What a role model. She is the hardest working gal that I have ever met.

Love You and Miss You Aunt Max

5/22/2013 Bart Roberts (Oceanside, California)

So great to have known Aunt Max. Always ready to help anyone! I think of the childhood trips to North Dakota from Indiana of which I can't beleive we survived but they were great nonetheless. I am so glad and blessed to have her here at the last Roberts cousin reunion as she was part of participation of my folks Life History DVD project in August of 2011. I got reacquainted with the Roberts family history and the early development of the old homestead. Fascinating time and to think Aunt Max got to drive the car out in the fields at age 8 or 9? Wow!
You will be missed!
Love, nephew Bart Roberts

Jackie and family

I have such fun and fond memories of your mom! especially the time I rode out to Portland, Oregon with your mom, your dad, and your grandma. I was supposed to help your dad drive, ha ha, that never happened but we had such a delightful time anyway.

I know how tough it is to lose your mom, and I just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you now.

5/22/2013 Karen Albert Walden and Gary Walden (Missoula, MT)

Jackie and Jim,
I didn't know your mother but how wonderful that she lived to such a great age! Our thoughts are with you and your families. Gary and I have both lost our moms and it isn't easy at any age!

5/22/2013 Joan Roberts (Carmel, Indiana)

Dear Cousins Jackie, Dennis, Jim, Jo, and all the 2nd, 3rd, ? 4th cousins and Roberts Family! How sad I am to hear the life of Aunt Max is now done on earth, as we know it! But my memories are so very wonderful of the family and times that we shared. Those trips Bart mentioned to ND! and to all to be fighting at Grandma's door to be the first to ask "Where are the donuts?" and the family recipe lives ON! Aunt Max and Jackie, showed us how the donuts were made, near midnight back in Indiana a few years ago! The great sense of sarcastic humor must be a Roberts trait, as Max sure used it often with us, and I giggle thinking of those times. The stories she told of the homestead, and the raising of many children, and grandkids too! The strenth, the spirit, the wild-wild west ( to us city folks) were truely heart warming, and so treasured! Please know I miss you all, and send thoughts of Peace, Comfort, Love. I will
also be making a special planting in memory of Dear Aunt Max, and will update you as I can. I certainly would be there this week if it was possible, and please give my regards, and hugs to all.
Cousin Joan

My heart goes out to all of you at this most difficult time. Grandma "Minnie" will be greatly missed. She was loved by so many. I will never forget the wonderful times I spent with her and feel so blessed to have had the chance to spend that part of my life with her and being a part of the family. We had a lot of good times and a lot of laughs. I love you all and want you to know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I no longer have either of my parents and I know how difficult it can be, but also know that it is such a wonderful thing to have such great memories that will carry on forever.
I love you Maxine. Always have and Always will.
I am going to miss you.

5/23/2013 Jeannie Holter (Minot, ND)

I have many fond memories of Maxine. When I was little I loved to peek over her fence and remembered eating her cookies and visiting with her. She was a very dear lady. My condolences go out to your family. She will be greatly missed.

To everyone,
There is not a word to describe how wonderful Aunt Max was. She took care of so many and was what seemed to me as unjudgemental regarding situations. She was the epitome of love. Was always there for anyone who needed her.
I will really miss her. The lady knew how to party too. I am sure she is laughing it up with everyone up there right now, especially my mom.
Sending you all my heartfeld condolances. As a mom, grandma, great grandma & great, great grandma I know she will be greatly missed.

Dear Jackie, Dennis, and family,
What a gal! I always admired Aunt Max's strength and determination. She met life head-on. I have so many wonderful memories of her. I loved to just sit and talk with her when we had the opportunity to visit. My most enjoyable memory is from a time my family visited your family. I was fourteen at the time. She and Uncle George were in the kitchen with us talking and laughing. I shall turly miss her. My love to you all.
