Glenn Darrel Greenlee
May 22, 1955 - April 8, 2019

Place of Birth: Stanley, North Dakota
Residence: Tioga, North Dakota
Age: 63

Glenn Darrel Greenlee, age 63, joined his heavenly family on April 8, 2019 with his loving family by his side at Tioga Hospital.

Glenn was born to Charles & Donna (Lien) Greenlee on May 22, 1955 in Stanley, ND. The family resided in Tagus, ND and moved to Stanley in 1961. Glenn graduated from Severson High School in 1973. Immediately after high school Glenn went to work in the carpentry business constructing many homes and buildings in the Stanley & White Earth areas. On May 11, 1990, Glenn was united in marriage to Cindy Frisinger in Williston.

Glenn began his oilfield work journey in 1979 and except for a brief retirement was still employed in the oilfield up to the time of his cancer diagnosis in October of 2017. Glenn had special memories with all those that he worked with and met in the “oil patch” and mentioned their names often. He also raised registered red angus cattle.

Glenn’s true hobby was woodworking and making “special” gifts for his grandchildren and friends. He was well known for his gift of oak piggy banks and they will be truly special to the ones that received them. Glenn also loved his fishing whether fishing on his own or with his fishing buddies Mark and Bob.

His kind and gentle heart will be missed by all.

Glenn is survived by wife, Cindy (Frisinger); daughters, Holly (Mark) of Fargo, Amber (Kelly), Heather (Brandon) of Stanley, Hope (Brian) of Duluth and his precious dog Carly Rose. He has 10 grandchildren, Taylor, Sydnee and Mason (Fargo), Devon, Elizabeth and baby boy (Stanley), Emerson, Aubrey and Andrew (Duluth). Sister, Peggy Nielsen (Kalispell, MT), father- in- law, Carl Frisinger (Tioga), sisters- in- law, Barbie Frisinger (Williston), Jeanine (Kent) Uran (New Town) and Janelle (Todd) Moe (Williston) and brothers-in-law, Rod Westrum (Williston), Darold (Miriam) Cvancara (Bismarck), Duane Cvancara (Grand Forks) and Doug (Shari) Cvancara (Wildrose)and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Donna; brothers, Galen and Gary; granddaughter, Olivia Fretheim; mothers-in-law, Donna and Bonnie Frisinger; sisters-in-law, Virgina Bila, Paulette Westrum and Judy Baker, and brother-in-law Jim Nielsen.
Thank You
Glenn’s family would like to THANK everyone for their outpouring of support during this difficult time.

Cindy, I have tried to come up with words, but I just can't find any. If your day is too long, or your night is too lonely, call me. You have carried too much in your short life, and sometimes you need to let it out. You know I am here for you, you have always been a great neighbor, friend and your kindness is beyond belief. Love you, and sending you healing prayers.
