Rodney Pullen, 69, of Williston, ND, formerly of Stanley, ND, passed away, Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at his home in Williston, ND.

Rodney Dean Pullen was born September 7, 1949 in Westhope, ND to Vernal and Margery (Steinhaus) Pullen. He attended Antler School through seventh grade. His family moved to Stanley in 1962, where he attended high school and graduated in 1967. After high school, he farmed in Westhope and Stanley for 20 years.

On September 16, 1967, Rod married the love of his life, Mary Evans. Together, they had two beautiful children, Leroy and Leslee.

In 1988, Rodney and his family moved to Mesa, Arizona. In 1991, they moved back to Spearfish, SD to be closer to family. They eventually made their way back to North Dakota, where they resided in Williston. Rodney was on the road a lot. He drove semi for Midnight Express for about 10 years and retired in 2009.

In his spare time, he liked to pester his grandkids, read up on his history and watch his favorite crime series. He enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends and chatting your ear off.

Rodney is preceded in death by his parents, Vernal and Margery Pullen; daughter, Leslee Pullen-Bublitz and his sister, Bonnie Ollila.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; his son, Leroy (Tammy); his granddaughters, Brittney (Matthew), Lexus, Alea, and Taleigh; his great granddaughter, Stella and his siblings, Robert (Kristi), David, Tammy (Michael) and Marsha (Wayne).
