Age: 85

Dale Karlgaard, 85, of Tioga, ND, passed away on January 9, 2019 at Tioga Medical Center. At Dale’s request no public service’s will be held. Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home of Tioga is assisting the family.

Dale was born near McGregor, ND on December 13, 1933, the son of Sig and Annie (Carlson) Karlgaard. He attended school at McGregor and graduated in 1951.

Dale and Marlene (Moe) of Wildrose, were united in marriage June 11, 1954. They raised their three daughters on their farm and ranch near McGregor.

He is survived by his wife Marlene; daughters Kay (Dwight) Blikre of Tioga, Kathy (Rudy) Wick of Denver, CO, and Kim (Rod) Berry of Tioga, ND; Six grandchildren and Six great-grandchildren; brother Wayne (Lynn) Karlgaard of Dyersburg, TN.

Your dad was always so friendly to me when I’d stop to visit or bring him ice cream. I remember one morning I visited him & since his eyes were bad,I read his book he used to write in & he described to me those people. Another morning I came & we talked weather & I described the mornings hoar frost & he says “ahhh I can just imagine seeing it”. I enjoyed being his eyes.
