Yvonne Sorenson, 80, of Williston, ND, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Saturday evening, December 15, 2018.

Yvonne was born August 6, 1938 in Belcourt, ND to Edward and Rosella (Zaste) Laducer. She was raised with three brothers and three sisters. Her education started in Grafton, ND. The Laducer family moved to Williston area in her later teens.

As a young girl, she worked numerous jobs, babysitting, beet farms, working in cafes. Later in life she worked as a housekeeper but most importantly she devoted her life to her family and numerous friends.

Yvonne was united in marriage to Tilman Delroy Sorenson on July 18, 1959 in Sidney, MT. They were happily married until his death January 12, 1975. To this union they had five daughters and one son. Shortly after her husband passed she met Dale Landers of Williston, from this union they had two children.

Yvonne loved fishing, playing pool, gambling and crafting. She also loved sharing her recipes and showing grandkids how to make bangs. She especially loved jigging and deedleuming with her grandkids! Grandma was notorious for calling on everyone’s birthday and singing to them in her best “Marilyn Monroe” voice. Everyone who came into her life knew she considered them as a part of her family, she was everyone’s Granny!

Yvonne’s biggest and most proud accomplishment in her life was her large family!

Yvonne is survived by her siblings, Victoria (Lloyd) Garcia, Antionette Arnott, Bert Laducer, Joe Laducer and Charlie Laducer; children, Lynn Sorenson (Greg Bangert),Lanette Bennis, Lori Gordon (Russ Johnson), Veronica Sorenson (daughter-in-law), Dana Sorenson (Pat Burke), Dawn Poole and Lance (Mandy) Landers; grandkids, Nikki (Carson) Dokken, Naomi (Iryn) Huwe, Bobbi (Justin) Krieger, Alaina Eikom, Alicia (Wes) Williams, Nathan (Sasha) Jeffrey, Eric (Jona) Jeffrey, Raylene Spargo, Jenaya (Jared) Scheuerman, BreAnn (Ryan) Cripe, ArieAnna (Zack) Fulbright, Sterling Sorenson, Shyera Sorenson, Lacey (Scott) Copenhaver, Lakin Dietrich, Tate (Kiana) Sorenson, Tylor Sorenson, Jordan Stewart, Justin Landers, Brecklyn Landers and Ayleigha Landers; 34 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tilman; daughter, Sherri; special friends, Edwin Ough and Dale Landers; sister, Betty Raveling; son-in-law, Randy Poole and most recently her son, Marty Sorenson.
