Jade Marie Larson, more affectionately known as “Jader-Potater”, began life October 5, 1995. The Lord gifted her to Woody and Nicolle Larson. She grew up on the family farm/ranch west of Crane, MT. After graduating from Sidney High School, she was ready for her next stage in life at Agetha Peer Group home in Sidney, MT.
Jade enjoyed some of simplest pleasures in life; rides on the 4-wheeler with dad, listening to grandpa’s chest as he sang to her, and enjoying animals with mom. She loved listening to books, stories, and conversations of those around her. Many people had the impression she was innocent, but she frequently had a mischievous side. When granted the opportunity, she took true delight in antagonizing her little sister Cassidy when she was a toddler. She found joy in playing with noisy or musical toys; and obnoxious sounds. Her laughter could fill a room.
Jade’s 23 years of life were spent spreading joy and kindness. Her endless patience and innate ability to connect with people were not dependent upon use of her legs or limbs. Her connections were cemented by the softest touch of her hand or playful tug of a long stand of hair. That sweet smile and simple quietness seemed to cultivate other’s gifts of kindness, patience and love. Even though Jade couldn’t speak, she deeply impacted the lives of family, friends, and strangers alike. She reflected God’s beauty in a life that wasn’t easy or glamorous. God’s plan to use Jade’s life became clear as she survived many life-threatening medical complications in order to serve her purpose.
Jade left this earth on the morning of December 6th and was embraced in heaven by her father Woody Larson; paternal grandparents Lyle and Irene Larson, step grandmother Hazel Larson; and maternal grandfather Blaine Burleson.
Her surviving family include her mother Nicolle (Burleson) Larson; siblings Sean Larson (Chicago, IL), Eric and wife Abby Larson, and their son Emmett (Bottineau, ND); younger brothers Conner Larson, Bridger Larson, and younger sister Cassidy Larson (Sidney. MT); and her maternal grandmother Joanne Burleson (Glendive, MT).
She will be forever remembered as a child of God and her memory will continue to warm the hearts of those who loved her.
