Patrick Wesley Baxter passed away on September 22, 2018. Patrick was born on September 9, 1962 in Auburn, Indiana to John Michael Baxter and Kay L. (Frank) Sanders. Patrick graduated from DeKalb High School in 1981. Patrick was in the Marine Corp Reserves and then attended Diesel Mechanic School in Lima, Ohio. After graduating from the school he spent much of his 20’s and 30’s traveling the United States working at varies jobs planting trees, logging, and Overhead Door. He loved the music of the Grateful Dead following them for many years. He learned the skill of carpentry from his father and later built his own home in Kila, Montana.
On December 31, 1996 he met the love of his life Heather S. Clifton and she survives in Fairview, Montana. They were married on September 11, 1998 in Auburn, Indiana. Patrick and Heather had two children, a son Liam Patrick Baxter of Williston, ND and a daughter Alainah Brielle Baxter of Waterloo, Indiana and a step-son Daimon Matthew Heffley of Auburn, Indiana. Patrick is also survived by two brothers Timothy Michael Baxter of Williston, ND and Daniel “Bo” Boland Baxter of Auburn, Indiana. He also has one nephew Caden Michael Baxter of Williston, ND and niece Reese Emerson Scott of Columbia Falls, Montana.
Patrick had many friends and people who respected and loved him his entire life. He will be dearly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
Services will be held in Fairview, Montana on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 1pm at the Zion Lutheran church. There will also be a memorial being held in Kalispell, Montana on Friday at 6pm at Michael and Melaney Reidinger, September 28, 2018.
