Catherine “Cathy” Savelkoul, of Minot, ND, formerly of Grenora, ND, passed away Wednesday evening, September 12, 2018 at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Her funeral arrangements are with Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home of Williston.

Catherine "Cathie" Savelkoul was born June 19th, 1961 to Dale and Arnola (Feiring) Savelkoul. Cathie grew up on a farm by Lansford, ND with her sister and 2 brothers. She was active in school functions and had a real talent for making clothes. She graduated Salutatorian of her class and continued on to Williston State College where she completed an Associates Degree.
Cathie married Ron Oster in December of 1981. They lived on the Oster Family farm near Grenora, ND. There they lived a farming life while raising their three daughters and son. She was the kids’ number one fan, always had full delicious meals prepared, after school snacks and sports uniforms ready when needed. Cathie was deeply involved with the community and church, being involved and busy is what kept her happy.
In 2004 Cathie moved to Williston, ND where she worked at First National Bank and helped with grandkids until she moved to Spearfish, SD in 2012. In 2016 she moved back to Minot, ND to be close to family again.
Cathie was very proud of her family and had a kind and giving heart. She was quick to make friends, loved to laugh and play cards with family and friends. She was passionate about gardening and crafting. Cathie was a beautiful woman, fierce mother and a dear friend.
She is survived by her parents Dale and Arnola Savelkoul of Minot, ND; Brothers Rod Savelkoul and his wife Eileen of Lansford, ND, Terry Savelkoul and his wife Laura of Mohall; Daughters, Amy Dilly and boyfriend Walker Silha of Bismarck, ND, Jennifer Wade and her husband Ryan of Grenora, ND, Amanda Oster of Minot, and Son, Jonathan Oster of Fargo, ND; Grandsons, Tyson, Dilan, Rylan and Calvin.
Cathie was preceded in death by her sister, Corinne.
