Dudley was called home Aug 6, 2018, form the Billings Clinic Hospital, Billings MT.
Dudley was born on Aug 6, 1949, in Sidney, MT the son of Charles and Lily (McCoy) Thiel. He was one of four children born to this union. He grew up and attended school in the Sidney area. In 1968, Dudley had one child LaDonna Kittleson. Then was deployed to Vietnam, where he served in the United States Army in a special forces unit and was decorated with numerous medals of honor during his tour. He returned home from Vietnam due to injuries obtained from his tour and married Laura (Volk) in 1972 and had one child Charles Thiel. Dudley worked as a mechanic for a couple places and then went to the Richland County Road Department where he retired due to injuries from his service in Vietnam and was put on 100% disability from the V.A. He then met Rene Hart and was united in marriage in 1999 where they lived happily till the day he passed.
Dudley enjoyed many hobbies including, chasing hound dogs, fishing catfish, carving, visiting with friends and family. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving him are his wife Rene, children Ladonna Kittleson, Williston ND, Charles (Jesi) Thiel, Savage MT, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, his sister Donna Stephenson, Butte MT, and numerous nieces and nephews.

dudley was a member of f-troop 17th armored cavalry,196th light infantry brigade.americal division. i don't know when he got to vietnam or when he went home but i do know he served his counrty with honor and courage.we will miss you my brother.rest in peace.
