Jean Gores was born October 15, 1937 in Devils Lake, ND, the daughter of Edward and Rose (Hilman) Gores. Edward passed away when Jean was very young, Rolla Murray became Jean’s step-dad and they grew to be very close. She grew up in Van Hook and graduated from New Town High School in 1955, with the first graduating class from there. Jean married Vernon Snyder on October 22, 1955 in New Town, ND. Together, they had two sons, Greg and Jay. She married Larry Lund on March 3, 1983. Larry had four daughters he brought to the marriage. After Larry passed away, she married Norman Siira on April 23, 2003 and he had two sons.
Jean was a member at St. Anthony Catholic Church in New Town. She was active in the Ladies Aid, the Legion Auxiliary, local election board, and the New Town nursing home board. Jean was employed as a cashier at Rexall Drug Store in New Town, ND and at the Ben Franklin Store in New Town. Jean enjoyed square dancing, spending time at the casino, and having coffee parties with her close friends. Most importantly, Jean loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
Jean will be deeply missed by her son, Jay (Jacqui) Snyder, New Town; step-children, Dee Ann (Richard) White, Texas, Kathi (Mike) Ulbig, Texas, Barb (Steve) Jenkins, California, Tim (Lori) Siira, Bismarck, David Siira, New Town; grandchildren, Vernon (Jenna) Snyder, Angela (Marshal) Olson, Greg (Jeri) Snyder, Brandon (Jessica) Lindley, Dustin (Trisha) Olson; step-grandchildren, Courtney and Christina White, Brad Maestas, Nikki Henslee, Angele Lund, Brandon Lund, Briana Lund; great grandchildren, Kade, Jaylee, Kooper, and Maelynn Snyder, Carter and Dylan Olson, Henley Snyder, Katelyn and Brayden Lindley, Sierra, Aeries, Cruz, and Tyke Olson; best friend, Mary Ellen Iverson, New Town.
Jean was preceded in death by her husbands, Vernon Snyder, Larry Lund, and Norman Siira; son, Gregory John Snyder; step daughter, Linda Lund; granddaughter, Shyla Rose Snyder; parents, Edward Gores, Rolla Murray, and Rose Murray.

I am so sorry for your loss. Our Mothers were very close and had so many wonderful times together as well as shared times of comfort and support. They are together now and as sad as we are, I know your Mom was welcomed home with open arms from so many who loved her, including my Mom. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
