December 25, 1951 - May 15, 2018

Residence: Fargo, ND

Patricia (Pat) Westerholm, 66, of Fargo, ND, returned to the strong embrace of her beloved Tom on his birthday, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the McKenzie County Medical Center in Watford City, ND.  What a joyful reunion!

Pat was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1951 to Jackson and DeLaura Dodds in New Rockford, North Dakota.  She attended grade school in Williston and finished High School in Billings, MT in 1969. She loved sewing, and most of her school clothes were made by her. Pat continued her education at NDU with a degree in Horticulture.

In the spring of 1973, Pat would meet the love of her life, Tom. After a five-year courtship the two were united in marriage in 1978, they were blessed with two beautiful boys; Tom and James.

Pat worked as a Manager of a local greenhouse and then for Blue Cross/Blue Shield as an Underwriter.

One of Pat’s most treasured times was traveling with her husband, Tom. After his passing, she would enjoy her time gardening and remembering the good moments with Tom. Along to keep her company was her faithful dog, Karma; whom she adored.

She is preceded in death by her beloved Tom (Fargo); father, Jackson (Watford City); brother, Steve (Watford City) and brother-in-law, Bill (Fargo).

Pat is survived by her sons, Tom and James Westerholm; mother, DeLaura Dodds; brothers, Jeffrey (Laura) Dodds, Mike (Tammie) Dodds and Tom Dodds; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

I worked with Pat at Blue Cross Blue Shield and had many visits with Pat throughout the almost 5 years that we worked together. Pat had a good laugh. It was nice to have the connection with the Dodds family that I got to know living in Watford City. We are so very sorry for your loss. Our many thoughts and prayers are with all of you. It is no coincidence that my beautiful aunt Pat began her eternal journey on my Uncle Tom's birthday. They shared a special love that I fondly admired as a little girl. I will forever miss the both of them and hold them dear in my heart and guarantee my dad, Bill, was overjoyed to reunite with Pat in heaven as well. He loved visiting with Aunt Pat on Christmas and keeping in touch with her and my cousins, Tom and Jamie, after uncle Tom passed. I love you guys and am so sorry that she is no longer in the physical world, but am happy to know they had a joyous reunion in heaven.
