John Thomas Lindseth, a longtime Wildrose area farmer, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the home of his brothers in Williston, North Dakota with family at his side.

John was born to Hans and Mabel (Tracey) Lindseth on January 13, 1949 in Williston, North Dakota. He was baptized and confirmed in the Roman Catholic Church.

He attended Skistad grade school, Wildrose grade and high school. He then went on to attend the University of North Dakota - Williston and the State School of Science in Wahpeton, North Dakota.

John worked as a farm hand and in the oil fields before purchasing the family farm. His love of the land and the free open spaces was his life. He was also his own mechanic and welder. He served as a Board Member for Big Meadow Township and was a member Saint Thomas Catholic Church of Tioga.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Mabel Lindseth. John is survived by his sisters, Mary Alice Howen (Raymond) of Marshfield, WI, Jeannie (Glen) Schroeder of Cameron, Montana; his brothers, Robert and Duane Lindseth of Williston, ND; 2 nieces, Kathy (Rene) Clermont of Madison, WI, Jennifer Howen of Marshfield, WI; 4 nephews, Michael Howen of Milwaukee, WI, Eric Howen of Tacoma, WA, Daniel Schroeder of Washington DC and Justin Schroeder of Bozeman, MT; several cousins and a host of friends.

Memorial Contribution
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to CHI St. Alexius Hospital - Hospice.

Lindsey's family, I am so sorry for your loss. Remembering the days at Skistad School. I haven't seen John in many years. May peace and understanding be of comfort to you all in the days, weeks, and months to come. Rest in Peace, John. (Great picture of John)
