It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Henry Mark Jaskot
April 25, 1928 - April 1, 2018

Place of Birth: South Brockton, Montana
Residence: Sidney, Montana
Age: 89

Henry Mark Jaskot was born on April 25, 1928 in the Charley Creek area south of Brockton. He was one of six children born to John and Margaret (Kapica) Jaskot. He attended various country schools (Schmitz School, Mona School) before graduating from Fairview High School in 1946. He attended the University of Montana in Missoula, MT for 1-1/2 years before joining the Army in 1950 (before he was drafted)! He served 2 years during the Korean War. On November 15, 1952 he married the love of his life, Joan Pintler of Fairview, MT. They made their home northwest of Fairview for 3 years where he farmed before moving to Sidney, MT in 1956. He then went into construction working for various contractors on projects such as the MDU Plant, the Sidney Senior High School, the new Safeway store (now IGA) and numerous houses and buildings. Eventually Henry branched out on his own and his legacy lives on through the walls of the businesses he built such as the Sidney airport terminal, the MonDak Heritage Center and the Blue Rock Pepsi Plant. Henry said that construction was a good profession - plus you get your daily exercise! He retired in 2008.
Henry was a very active member of St. Matthew’s Parish in Sidney, MT. He served as the head of lay presiders, was a former Parish Council member for 10 years, and participated in the Cum Christo movement from 1972-2017. But God called his faithful servant home on April 1, 2018 when he died at Sidney Health Center surrounded by his family following a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Henry is survived by; two daughters, Patti Tornabeni, Sidney, MT and Kathy (Bruce) Sharbono, Missoula, MT; a son, Mark (Diane) Jaskot, New Orleans, LA; one sister, Barbara Cotter, Reno, NV; one brother, Joe Jaskot, Media, PA; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Henry was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a brother; two sisters; and one grandson.

Hank has been a important part of the Cum Christo for so many years. His devotion to the movement has been an inspiration to so many of us and his desire to get it right and always to remind us that our mission is to serve the candidates in everything that is done. Being Gods hands and feet was something that I feel Hank lived each day of his life. Being a Lay Presider for Hank was always about getting it right, being reverent, and serving our Parish in the absents of our Priest. He took that job serious and made sure we did to. It has been an honor to serve along side of Hank and to be guided in the right direction!! God Bless you Hank and our prayers are with his family... Job Well Done Faithful Servant!!!

Patti, Kathy and Mark, I will always remember our childhood days living behind each other, Catholic school, and hanging out in the neighborhood. Your Dad was always a person I looked up to then and all through my life, especially in St. Matthews with different meetings we would both attend and always seeing him and getting greeted with such sincerity! I will miss seeing him at Mass, I hope him and my dad run into each other and get to visit about us kids, I'm sure they both have stories they can tell of all of us from our childhood days! Hugs and prayers my friends, rest in peace Mr. Jaskot.
