Alice Clara Serrahn passed away peacefully on February 4, 2018. Alice was born and grew up in Madison, Minnesota, the second daughter of Carolyn and Reinhold Serrahn. During World War II, she then transferred to the War Department.
After the war ended, Alice relocated to Denver with her sister Sylvia for a short time to work for the US Postal Service and then they both relocated to San Francisco in the late 1940s. Alice worked at the US Postal Service in San Francisco and San Bruno until her retirement in 1983.
Alice enjoyed travel, bridge and mahjong, and spending time with extended family and friends. Alice was warm and caring and followed her father’s wish for her to see the world. She and Sylvia traveled to Europe, Australia and New Zealand and throughout the US and Canada.
