Gladys Louise Imsland was born November 6th, 1940 at the Powers Lake Hospital, Powers Lake, ND. She was baptized February 16th, 1941 and confirmed January 15th, 1956 in Zion Lutheran Church, McGregor, ND.
Gladys attended elementary and high school in McGregor, North Dakota.
On June 18, 1957 Gladys was united in marriage to John (Bud) Imsland. In 1958, they were blessed with their oldest son, Byron. While Bud was beginning his career in the roustabout service, Gladys was busy with being a mother/homemaker, along with working on the Imsland family farm. Gladys continued to be a mother/homemaker to three more children, Jerry, Teresa, and Merna who kept her very busy.
Gladys was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the women of ELCA at McGregor. Gladys really enjoyed quilting, sewing, and working at church events.
In her younger years, she really enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends.
Gladys also enjoyed making quilts for family, putting together puzzles, playing cards, and watching girls college basketball. She loved game shows, word search, and watching TV (Hallmark Channel).
Gladys kids/grandchildren say is known for making the best eggs Ever!! They will miss the eggs and all the cooking Gladys did throughout the years. She also loved making Lefsa, Sand Bakkels, and Krum Kaka.
Gladys loved her cat Boo-boo, she always had a story to tell about him when family called.

Gladys is survived by her son, Jerry (Susan) Imsland, their four children, Kevin (Teslin & daughter Sabrina), Amber (Justin & daughter Emma & sons Jacob & Easton) West, Kyle (Charnelle & daughter Ashlee) Imsland; Teresa Imsland, (son Brandon and his children, Finnley, Griffin and Charli Edwards), and Merna Imsland, (son Nicholas (Tracee) Edwards, children: Makenna, Emma, Ethan), son, Jake (Kyhlie) Imsland, daughter, Cadi (Jessie & daughter Sylvia), Gladys sister, Rosella Tande of Minot, ND.
Gladys has eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.

Gladys is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Myrtle(Lee) Thorson: son, Byron Imsland:, brothers Juline, Marvin, and Allen Thorson:, sister Lillian and infant sister Marlene.

Gladys will be dearly missed and loved by all who knew her.
