Randy Joseph Fischer was born on April 11, 1961 to Joseph and Lois (Wintermute) Fischer the youngest of four children in Sidney, MT. Randy attended most of his schooling in Sidney. Randy was in special education classes and participated in the Special Olympics during his younger years. Randy was a valued employee at Safeway, Sidney Electric, La Fiesta and LaLonde - to name a few. Randy did a bit of traveling through El Paso with his father and stepmom to visit his sister, Colleen. Randy also traveled to South Dakota and Minneapolis.
Randy was a welcomed member of the Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the Moose. Randy enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and listening to old time music (favorites were polka and waltz). He loved going to garage sales with his dog Noni and friends Kandi (his caregiver) and Chuck (his friend). Randy looked forward to aimless road trips with his sister, Kathy, or going out to the stockyard on shipping day with Kandi, as often as possible.
Randy died on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Sidney Health Center. Survivors include his sisters, Kathy (Sidney) Colleen (El Paso); nephews, Ricky Tobiason, Rory Tobiason (Lindsey), and Daniel Lashley (Beulah); two great nieces, three great nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Preceding Randy in death are his parents, sister, aunts, uncles, and his dog Noni.
Randy wanted the following know by all; He was always proud of his nephew, Ricky, and enjoyed watching him participate in the Special Olympics.
He loved teasing Nicki, Ruth, Julie, and Robin at IGA. He thought highly of Karrie Reitz, his case worker for many years, and considered her a good friend. Linda Sitter was truly a special lady in Randy's life. She was always Kandi's back-up and Randy picked on her daily. He was grateful for Rebecca (his nurse), office gals - Jenna and Laurie, Sidney Health Center, Dr. Kessler, Dr. LaPan and all medical staff that knew him and put up with his playful nature. Tori Davis was another caregiver that made an impact on Randy's life. A special thanks to Kandi Davis, his caregiver, who always went above and beyond to make him comfortable and happy. It did not go unnoticed. Thank you to everyone not mentioned that somehow effected or was affected by Randy.
