Candice Patricia Sorenson
January 19, 1972 - December 16, 2017

Place of Birth: Williston, ND
Residence: Williston, ND
Age: 45

Candice Sorenson, 45, of Williston, passed away suddenly on Dec 16, 2017 in Sidney, Mt, her funeral arrangements are with Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home of Williston.

Candice Patricia Sorenson was born on January 19, 1972 to Colette and David Sorenson in Williston, ND. She was reunited with her best friend, her grandma Blanche on December 16, 2017.

Candice was raised just outside of Williston on a small family farm. She was active in Girl Scouts, Dance, 4-H Club, TaeKwonDo, Swing Choir, and was a Williston Coyote Hockey Cheerleader. She loved getting dressed up, dancing, and singing so much so that she also participated in area pageants and was crowned Miss Williston. One thing that she always bragged about was she recorded a song in Disney World.

During her life she lived in various places with her four children. In 2002, she was united in marriage to her youngest daughter's father, Will Nickoloff. They later divorced but remained friends.

She enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing, caring for and riding horses, working with her 4-H steers, as well as, caring for all of her childhood animals.

Candice was a 2001 paramedic graduate and later graduated with an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts in 2007 and received her Legal Assistant and LPN degrees.

She enjoyed working with special needs people and with the elderly, especially meeting and visiting everyone she worked with along the way.

As mentioned earlier, her grandma Blanche was her best friend and they shared a significant amount of time together playing bingo and trying their luck at the casinos.

Nothing can compare to her love for her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Candice was preceded in death by her grandparents Sidney “Wayne” and Blanche Galusha, grandfather Leonard Sorenson, grandmother Lucille Dunn, brother Richard Sorenson, and nephew Christian Sorenson.

She is survived by her parents David and Colette Sorenson of Williston, ND; her children Courtney (Kevin) Combs, Cameron Sorenson, Colton Sorenson, and Nevaeh Nickoloff all of Williston, ND; grandchildren Kashlyn and Carsyn Combs; sisters, Sherri (Darrell) Trottier of Belcourt, ND, Nicki (Scott) Franklin of Williston, ND, Shirelle Sorenson (Tim) of Williston, ND, Sheree Sorenson (Frank) of Williston, ND; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

So heartbreaking to hear of Candice 's passing, she was beautiful, warm, and caring lady that always had a smile on her face. I didn't get to know whole lot about Candice, however in that short amount of time I gained a friend, that has taken a piece of my heart with her. I'm sorry for your loss. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

My deep condolences and sympathy to you. The Bible makes this comforting promise: “Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” (Psalm 34:18) It is comforting to know that God has promised a resurrection hope! (John 5:28, 29)
