LeRoy Emil Seidel
November 5, 1941 - September 7, 2017

Residence: Williston, ND

LeRoy Seidel, 75, of Williston, ND, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at CHI St. Alexius Mercy Medical Center, Williston ND.

LeRoy was one of two sons born to Emil and Hilda Seidel and was raised working on his parents farm in Tyrone Township north of Williston. After graduating from Williston High School and attending college, Leroy began his career with the Sherwin Williams Paint Company to become manager over the Sherwin Williams Stores in Miles City, Montana, Dickinson and Williston. With increasing oil activity in Western North Dakota in the 1970’s, LeRoy studied and became a mud engineer for the drilling of oil wells with Magcobar Corporation and worked in the oil field until the early 1980’s when LeRoy founded his long time business of Vac-U-Jet Septic Service. LeRoy’s self design of a jetted septic tool has become the standard tool in the septic business. LeRoy continued to operate his septic service business until 2005 when the business was sold to his son Craig Seidel.

LeRoy had the soul of a farmer, the interest of an engineer with mechanical machinery and was a hard working operator of his septic service business for almost 30 years, and upon sale of his business he continued to assist his sons Corey Seidel and Craig Seidel with their work interests.

LeRoy had many interests, working with his sons, restoring old cars and trucks, collecting and salvaging metals, taking apart anything mechanical and helping out his many friends and family.

LeRoy Emil Seidel is survived by his two sons Corey Seidel, Williston, and Craig Seidel of rural Rapid City, South Dakota; brother James Seidel of Williston; grandchildren Kendall Krodel, Dominic Seidel, Dusti Seidel, Dalton Seidel and Adrik Seidel.

LeRoy Emil Seidel was predeceased by his parents Emil and Hilda Seidel, his son Curtis L. Seidel and grandson Tanner A. Seidel.

LeRoy was a kind, hardworking man with a soft smile and a love for a good cup of coffee. He will be missed by his many friends and family.

Corey and Craig, So sorry to hear that your Dad has passed away. I have always cherished the friendship that he shared with me, in the times that I lived in Williston. He was one in a million. I was so blest to have known him. He had a quick wit, a ready smile and a hearty laugh! You were truly his life and he loved to talk about how well you were doing, over a good cup of coffee. May he rest in peace, after a long well lived life. He will be missed. With friendship, love, hugs, and sympathy to you both and your families. Charlotte
