Duane was born June 6, 1949 to Lois and Eldor (Voss) Breitling. He was born and raised in Sidney, Montana. Duane attended Sidney Schools and later joined the National Guard.

In 1980 Duane met the love of his life Bobbi and her daughter April. They were married February 14, 1981 at Bobbi’s parents’ house in Culbertson, MT. They lived in Sidney where they together created a great life. Duane had several jobs along the way from doing mechanic work at Larson Motors and Bloesser Auto and working in Powell, WY. He also worked in the oil fields and it was through all these jobs where he met all of his amazing friends. Duane also opened his own shop, Central Auto Repair in 1998.

Duane enjoyed many things in life. Some of his favorites were “Happy Hour” with friends and family, garage sales & auctions, and working in his garage and yard. Duane always knew how to have a good time and was the life of a party.

In 2013 Duane lost his wife and found a few new things he dearly enjoyed. Duane loved getting to talk to his grandkids on the phone every day and enjoyed spending time in Arizona with them.

Duane is survived by his daughter, April Callaway (Robert) of San Tan Valley, AZ, his grandchildren, Mason, Madison & Ryleigh, brothers, Marvin of Great Falls and William (Ada) of Sidney; sisters, Lou Mohl of Billings, and Bonnie Garza of Lolo; father-in-law, Robert Larsen of Culbertson and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews;

Duane was preceded in death by: his wife Bobbi Breitling; father, Eldor; mother, Lois; a brother, Gary; his infant sister; brother-in-law, Mel; sister-in-law, Merna and also his “fur sons” Hook and Willy.
