Susan Renee Nickens was born on December 26, 1957 to Harold and Rosemary (Johnson) Nickens in the old Sidney Hospital in Sidney, MT. Susan went to school in Fairview and Sidney, MT as she grew up. She married and had a son she named Billy who was later adopted. Susan finally met the love of her life, Glenn Cowell. They were united in marriage in Sidney, MT June of 1982. To this union a son was born Joshua Thomas Harold Cowell on January 15th, 1985.
Susan and Glenn together ran their own construction business, game room, trading card shop and ran the flea market circuit. They both believed in order for a love to truly last you needed three things. You go through life together hand and hand, side by side, and heart in heart; always together.
Susan loved to fish, work on plastic canvas projects, puzzle books, jig saw puzzles and visiting with friends. Some of Susan’s better moments in the last years have been the phone call from her sister in Germany.
Susan finally lost her long battle of over seven years with COPD on August 1, 2017 at the Sidney Health Center. With angel wings you are free to soar with the Lord you loved so much. You will be missed but never forgotten.
Susan is survived by: her husband, Glenn Cowell, Savage, MT; her sons, Joshua Cowell, Savage, MT and Billy; her father, Harold Nickens; her sister Karen Stimpson, Germany.
Susan was preceded in death by: her mother, Rosemary Nickens; her grandparents.
