October 28, 1974 - July 12, 2017

Place of Birth: Sidney, Montana
Residence: Casper, WY
Age: 42

Lori was born on October 28, 1974 to parents Stan and Carol (Jensen) Hurst in Sidney, MT. She shared that birthday with her great grandmother Gaffield. Lori attended school in Sidney graduating in 1993. Lori was a proud member of “Mrs. D’s” high school drill team for all of her high school years along with lifelong friends Jen Oyloe, Jen Spence, Michelle Iversen, Brandi Partridge, and many others. Subsequent to her high school graduation she moved to Casper, WY where she earned a degree as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Lori worked with young children though out her career. Lori often grew attached to many of those young people and loved to talk about their accomplishments.
Brenae Crum was born to Lori and Don Crum on March 17, 1994. Brenae was is and always will be a great blessing to her. Lori was especially proud of Brenae’s success in nursing and her upcoming graduation as a registered nurse.
Carl Krugler and Lori met in Sidney some 16 years past. They shared their lives in a very loving, caring and supportive relationship. Lori was enormously proud of Carl’s position as a police officer where he has served with distinction with his K-9 partners Elwin and Jopie.
Lori passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at her home in Casper, WY. She will be remembered and missed by family, friends and all who knew her. We know she is at peace having coffee with her dad and friend Vickie.
Lori is survived by her husband, Carl; daughter, Brenae Crum and fiancée, Chris Stead; mother, Carol (Bill) Nankivel; brothers, Randy (Melissa) Hurst, Lee Hurst; grandmother, Lola Strasheim; Becker and Wyman families and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. God bless you all.
Lori was preceded in death by her father Stan; one of her best friends, Vickie Downs; grandfather, Clarence Jensen; and grandparents, Willard and Frances Hurst.

Lori was one of the kindest, sweetest people I've known. What a gentle soul. I'm so sorry to hear she's gone. This poem reminds me of her.

The tide recedes, but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land.
The music stops, and yet echoes on in sweet refrains....
For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains. - Anonymous

That something beautiful is her family, every memory you have with her, and all the love you share.

Keeping you all in our prayers.
