James Jorgenson , 83 of Powers Lake, ND, more recently of the Bethel Lutheran Home in Williston passed away Monday morning July 3rd, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Williston. Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home of Williston is assisting the family.

James A. Jorgenson was called home to the Lord on Monday, July 3rd 2017. Born April 25th, 1934 to Ed and Anna Jorgenson of Powers Lake, ND. He was the youngest of his siblings. James also known to many as Jim or Jimmy, enjoyed many adventures in his lifetime. Whether it was traveling across country from Rhode Island to California, working in the mines, wrestling with "Sissy" the tiger, balancing his sledge hammer on his nose, fishing, riding his horse "Misty" or jumping out of a plane while serving in the United States Army. He made friends with everyone he encountered and welcomed them with a friendly smile and a firm hand shake. You were never a stranger to Jim!
Jim was a proud father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved spending time with his family telling stories, listening to music, and sharing a meal.
Today we say goodbye to a hero, a father, a grandfather and role model like only stories are written about. He was blessed with the heart of a saint and a soul of a man. He may not have lived a perfect life, but he lived life to the fullest. Above all else, he loved God, family, and friends. His memory will forever remain in our hearts.
James was survived by his children Desiree Holmes (Michael), Angel Yost (Mike), Joli Darling, and Todd Eide (Dana). His grandchildren Nicole Flournoy (Randy), Justin Axelson, Kelsey Jorgenson, Kelsie Yost (Sean), EnGedi Darling, Emily Eide, Lydia Eide, and Ethan Eide. His great grandchildren Drake, Jordyn and Tay Flournoy. Leighton and Lennon Collins. Landon, Ryan and Gavin Axelson. Destinee and Eliza Yost. His sister-in-law Bonnie Jorgenson. His companion Blanche Galusha. His many loved nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Anna. His siblings Adolph, Harold, Agnes and Esther. His granddaughter Heidi Jorgneson.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Jim. I remember when I was a kid and hung out with the Harold Jorgenson clan in Powers Lake there would be much excitement amongst the kids when he'd show up. Jimmy will be missed by so many. Our prayers will be with the family and friends during this difficult time.
