Daniel James Miller was born in Rugby, ND on December 8, 1972 to Richard J. Miller and Denise D. (Berg) Miller. Dan was delivered by Dr. Fox, the same doctor that delivered his father. Dan was the oldest of three children. He has two sisters Kayla and Tonya. Dan was raised on his grandparents, Pete and Marion Millers farm in Towner, ND where he attended grade school before moving to Sidney. Dan graduated from Sidney High School in 1991 and then went on to Wyoming Tech Institute in Laramie, WY to study automotive technician. Following his graduation in 1992 he moved to Minot, ND and worked at Chrysler as a mechanic. During this time his son Kendahl (fondly called “Meathead” by his dad) was born in 1993. He started working with his father at Anchor Drilling Fluids with a few of his many partners in crime, all the while terrorizing Richard. Dan had a few other truck driving jobs and during this time he met the love of his life Robin, marrying in 2002. From this union four beautiful children were born, Coltin, Prestin, Cristin, and Braydin. Dan started his own business, Dan Miller Trucking, after buying his first prized possession, his Peterbilt, in 2008. Dan loved to have a good time. Whether it is watching his children compete in rodeo, basketball, driving and working on his truck, riding his Harley with his son and friends or hot wiring seats and pulling numerous other practical jokes. Dan had a big heart, shit-eating grin, he was loyal, and he always took the time to help anyone at anytime and anywhere. Dan died on Saturday evening, March 18, 2017, at the Sidney Health Center ER, of injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Dan is survived by his wife, Robin, Fairview, MT; his children, Kendahl, Coltin, Prestin, Cristin, and Braydin all of Fairview, MT; his parents, Richard J. (Josie) Miller, Towner, ND and Denise D. Miller, Sidney, MT; grandparents, Pete and Marion Miller, Towner, ND; sisters, Kayla Miller Otis, Spearfish, SD and Tonya Miller, Sidney, MT; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and an unending list of extended family and friends.
