Martha Matilda Kroemer, 89 of Billings, formerly of Sidney, passed away on January 15, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Home. Martha was born on February 17, 1927 in Poplar, Montana. She lived her whole life in Eastern Montana growing up there, marrying, raising her children and being a blessing to everyone that knew her.
Martha married Walt Kroemer and they spent almost 50 years together. They raised their children in Sidney where they also gardened extensively and Martha raised many flowers in addition to vegetables and fruits. They spent many of their retirement years in Billing and upon the death of her husband, she decided to enter the work force and worked at Fudrucker's for 15 years.
Martha loved to cook for her extensive family and friends. She baked as her family grew around her and her cinnamon rolls were loved by all. She loved to sew and in later years, made many quilts for her family.
Martha was an active long time member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Billings, MT and Trinity Lutheran Church in Sidney, MT. She was very active in the women's group, bible studies and quilting at both churches.
Martha is survived by her five children, Gordon (Char), Walter (Christine), Allen (Charlotte), Gloria (Ken) and Diane; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Marie and Rosalia and a brother Edward (JoMay) and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walt and two brothers, Reynold and Lawrence.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 19, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church 2336 St. Johns Avenue, Billings, MT and 10 a.m. Friday, January 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church 214 Lincoln Ave. S. Sidney, MT with Pastor Rolf Preus officiating Interment at Richland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sidney under the direction of Fulkerson-Stevenson Funeral Home, Sidney, MT
