It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Fred Carl Buxbaum
July 28, 1948 - January 15, 2017

Place of Birth: Sidney, Montana
Residence: Sidney, Montana
Age: 68

On Wednesday, the 28th of July 1948 a little fella came into this world with a fighting weight of 3pds 15 oz. and changed many people’s lives for the better. Freddie Carl Buxbaum was born to parents Harold and Lila and big brother Dennis. He was later joined by four other brothers, so you can imagine what a household that was!
Fred worked on the farm, went through school participating and excelling in wrestling. Graduation saw him joining the Navy and serving four years as a Corpsman stationed with the Marines- a fact that he was very proud of. He got such joy out of wearing his Navy cap and having young men, older men, and some ladies salute him as he passed by. This led to them swapping stories about their adventures and years served.
After his tour of service, Fred came home to help out on the farm. He was coming home after a late evening and saw the neighbors were having a “party” and decided to invite himself. The porch door opened, he stepped in and said “I’m here”, thus meeting his future wife Mona Joy Treloar. They started their life together September 1, 1973, sharing nearly 43 years of marriage with two kids coming along the way, Jennifer Joy and Freddie Wade. Fred worked at Coast to Coast, later buying into Farm and Home Supply where he worked alongside his brother Dennis, meeting and making many, many friends over the years. Everyone knew Freddie and his passing is sure to leave a void.
Over the years he enjoyed many activities, but his favorite by far was spending time with his one and only grandchild Willie Jake! He was so in love with the little guy, having waited a long time to get him. Fred loved his wife and family truly and wholeheartedly, standing by and supporting them in whatever they chose to do. He was in turn loved beyond words by us! He was OUR Freddie.
Fred passed away at home Sunday morning of a sudden heart attack. Surviving him is: his wife Mona Joy; daughter Jennifer Joy of Hawaii; son Freddie Wade (Leah) of Billings, MT along with their son Willie.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, one infant brother, brother Jeffrey Dean, three nephews and numerous other relatives.
Much love to you Freddie- go and play with the angels.
