It Is Our Privilege And Purpose To Serve You
Anne Finnicum
August 19, 1935 - June 11, 2016

Place of Birth: Andes, Montana
Residence: Culbertson, MT
Age: 80

Annie Laurie Finnicum, 80, was called home to our Lord on June 11, 2016 at her home in the Andes Community.
Anne was born on August 19, 1935 to William “Bill” and Thelma Ochs at Andes, MT. She enjoyed riding her horse to each day to Andes and the “Dugout” schools throughout her elementary years. She then completed her high school years in Culbertson, MT where she was a cheerleader and worked at the “Searchlight” newspaper running the linotype. After high school, she worked at the Sidney Sugar Factory as a receptionist for a short time before marrying the love of her life, Baker Finnicum, on August 22, 1953 in Sidney, MT.
They made their home on the Finnicum family farm, where she enjoyed many years of raising her children. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, hunting for arrowheads and finding the first crocuses of the year. She was an excellent cook, and made the best apple pie and fried ‘taters. She had a passion for music; singing, playing her accordion and harmonica and gardening with her grandkids. When she had some free time away from the hustle of farm life, she spent much of her time completing crossword puzzles and sewing.
Anne is survived by her husband, Baker Finnicum; her children, Benny (Vicki) Finnicum, Sissy (Pete) Mattison, Judy Finnicum, Doug (Tracie) Finnicum, and Bob (Janae) Finnicum, her 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great- grandchildren; her brother, Ron Ochs; her sisters, Ardyce Kelley, Betty (Dean) Frost, Rita (Mark) Gjefle; her sister-in-law, Audrey (Bill) Ochs; her brother-in-law, Lorin (Naomi) Finnicum; sister-in-law, Josey (Dupe) Finnicum; brother-in-law, Ed (Betty) Steffans; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bill Ochs; brothers-in-law, Ross Finnicum, Gerald Finnicum, Elvin (Dupe) Finnicum; her sisters-in-law, Marie (Ross) Finnicum, Betty (Ed) Steffans and her infant granddaughter, Mandalee Murray.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Baker and your family. Anne will be missed. My boys and I will always remember the hunting trips we had at your place. And how Anne fixed such a beautiful meal for us every time we came out. The boys would ask if we were going to your place, I wasn't sure if they wanted to hunt or have supper with Anne and you more. A more welcoming spirit I doubt anyone would find than Anne's. She will be remembered always. Sincerely Joel, Margo, Dan, Mack, James, Justin.

I am so so sorry to hear of the recent loss of your loved one Anne. May the Lord wrap his arms around all of you and give you strength in your time of need. It has been many years since I seen all of you but my brother Mike would always stop by the place, when he was out in that direction and see Baker and Anne and tell me all about Anne's fine meal she had made and what he ate at the Finnicum place. Our prayers are with all of you. Sincerely, Deb

Grams... I am so very sorry that I want there to say goodbye though I hope that you were with me as I was thinking of you. Broken hearts and families are painful. I want you to know that I love youbatill and that hardly a day goes by that something doesn't remind me of you. I love the accordion, crocus, Lawrence Welk, fresh baked bread and Neapolitan Ice cream because of you. There are too many memories to count. I love you always.
