Margaret was born September 29, 1904, in Rolla Township, near St. John, ND, and was the 8th of 12 children born to Alexander and Marie Tremblay. She was united in marriage to Arthur Hanson on June 2, 1924. They were married for 54 years when Art passed away in 1977. After retirement, they moved to Williston to be near family. She especially enjoyed the time spent with great grandchildren, John, Ben and Elizabeth White. Summers were enjoyed at their Paradise Point lake home, where many family members congregated on the 4th of July. She enjoyed the meals she loved to prepare. Margaret enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, house plants and playing cards. Serving 3 o’clock tea to many friends and family was a highlight of many of her afternoons. She spent her last four years in Arizona with son, Fred and his wife, Randi Lou enjoying life with them and the warm sunny weather. After studying with the Jehovah Witnesses for many years, her faith was affirmed by being baptized at 102 yrs. old in Maricopa, AZ. Surviving her are two sons, Fred Hanson of Maricopa, AZ (Randi Lou) and Daryl Hanson of Fargo, ND (Jan); daughter-in-law, Paula (Bunny); 9 grandchildren, Pam White (Jack), Paula Ashley, Penne DesPois (Gary), Stan Hanson (Joyce), Lori Palmquist, Dale Hanson (Theresa), Gail Hanson, Mike Hanson, Kari Rumpza (Doug); 19 great-grandchildren, and 18 great great-grandchildren.
