| Memorial Services are at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at the V.F.W. Hall in Sidney with Father Ned Shinnick officiating. Military Honors are provided by the VFW Post #4099 of Sidney. |

One Helluva Cowboy Just Took His Last Ride. A.D. died Friday afternoon November 6, 2009 at the Extended Care Facility in Sidney, MT. Albert Dale Volbrecht was born on October 13, 1922, in Richey, MT son of Herman and Gladys (Anderson) Volbrecht. He had lived these past years in Sidney, MT. AD, as he was commonly known, married Frances W. Keysor, August 31, 1945. He was a rancher, rodeo man and cowboy. He was a pick-up man in Brockway rodeos for 25 continuous years as well as at many other rodeos in Montana and North Dakota. He served in World War II in the parachute infantry and earned several service medals, a bronze star and a World War II Victory Medal. AD is survived by: his wife, Frances W. Volbrecht of 64 years; his children, Pamela (John) Young, Clyde Park, MT, Douglas (Karen) Volbrecht, Ovid, ID, and Zane Volbrecht, Sidney, MT; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and several step-great-grand children; his sister-in-laws, Betty Keysor, Richey, MT, and Jean Crockett, Australia; his brother, Dean “Butch” (Sheryl) Volbrecht, Richey, MT; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were: his parents, Herman and Gladys Volbrecht; his oldest son, Jerry Dale Volbrecht; his brothers, Vernon, Robert and Bernard Volbrecht; his sisters, Loretta Unruh; brother-in-laws, Tony Unruh, Bill Keysor and Bud Crockett.
